EMIRAT AG urges US lotteries to ´Think Big´ ahead of ICE North America debut

(London).- With all eyes on the growing potential of state and online lotteries in the United States as the impact of the DOJ’s Wire Act for the sector remains uncertain, there’s never been a more exciting time for new and established lotteries according to EMIRAT AG as they prepare for their first industry event in the region.

EMIRAT AG urges US lotteries to ´Think Big´ ahead of ICE North America debut

As the Munich-based company, one of the foremost specialists for removing financial risk for jackpot winners in the world, prepares to expand its US footprint with a significant presence at this year’s ICE North America, it’s clear the potential for what can be bought to the region’s lotteries has barely even scratched the surface. Commenting on what the market represents to EMIRAT AG as market leaders, COO, Andrea Bargholz explained: “We cover jackpots for some of the premium lotteries across North America, and there’s always been something unique which sets the US market apart for lottery providers and the gaming industry as a whole – a pioneering spirit!”

“If there is a trend coming up – what ever it is – the world keeps an eye on what the United States is doing and how it works there,” she continued. “Why should this be any different for lotteries, sports betting or gaming? There are many parts in the world which have lots of potential for lottery providers who work outside of the official State Lotteries but the US is for sure one of the most interesting areas to start online lotteries with covered high value jackpots.”

The growth potential of the US lottery market has been thrown a curveball in recent months with many unsure whether the Wire Act amends are applicable to state or online lotteries and more recently, the New Hampshire Lottery Commission filing a lawsuit to challenge the revised opinion of the DOJ. With more than 10 years experience as trustworthy lottery experts, EMIRAT AG is clearly not concerned, urging operators to ‘Think Big’ at this exciting juncture for the sector. Bargholz said: “We are probably the most serious and reliable provider of Jackpot security/insurance in the world, just last year we covered more than €300bn in jackpots risks without any complaints. The potential for lotteries in the US is huge and with iLottery creating an exciting growth area in the sector’s future, it’s a hugely encouraging time for the market.”

“I mentioned previously about the US being at the forefront of new trends and this is clear in the sector at this time. Right now, I am sure any provider of a private lottery who starts a new online business in the United States with high value jackpots, potentially even higher than an official state lottery, would be highly successful. Simply because you have approximately 280,000,000 inhabitants in one country who have all grown up with the mantra “Think big” and who are keen to fulfil their dream of the big Jackpot so operators need to ‘Think Big’ too!”

Andrea Bargholz COO, Frank Herold, C-Level, Business Development Director, and EMIRAT AG’s CEO Ralph Clemens Martin will be exhibiting the company’s risk management offerings and networking from Stand J35 at ICE North America, the two-day conference running across May 14-15 in Boston MA, USA.
